The Utah Area Presidency recently announced a new Education Initiative for the Utah area. Many of our youth and their parents recently attended a Youth Devotional in early October explaining the importance of education beyond high school in improving both our spiritual and temporal self-reliance.

This educational initiative was created to expand our resources for gaining information on education beyond high school. Self-Reliance Education Specialists have been called to work with the wards to help provide this resource. We are available to build positive relationships with potential students, and encourage setting educational goals, plus:

► Help members know what educational opportunities are available (universities, technical colleges, Pathway, etc.)

► How to apply for admission

► How to apply for financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans, work-study, etc.)

► What degrees and certificates are available in our area

► Address other areas of concern regarding pursuing an education

Utah Education Initiative

The purpose of the Utah Education Initiative is to help more Saints in the Utah area improve their spiritual and temporal self-reliance. We want to help members enroll in institutions of higher learning, where they can receive degrees, certificates, and upskilling that will bless their lives.
