Inspirational Thought 

Procrastination as defined by the dictionary is, “to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done.”  I’m to get the Logan Home Storage Center newsletter out before the first of each month.  I have been working on a project that consumed more of my time than I thought it should.  As the first of the month approached, I kept saying to myself, I will get to it after I finish this task.  Well one task turned into another and here I am two days into the next month.  I have no excuse, I just let time get away from me.  So, now I need to repent and learn from this mistake and not let time get away from my assigned task.

Thinking about my failure here not to get the newsletter out on time due to my procrastination.  How does procrastination play a part in following our prophets to have a year’s supply of food, clothing, fuel where appropriate and a financial reserve?  We have been taught this principle for over 80-years.  Where do you and I stand in following this counsel?  President Dalen Oaks stated in March 2020, concerning our present distress (the COVID-19), “This is not the end of the world but merely a test. A trial run for the Second Coming if you will—physically and spiritually. If you’ve been following the counsel from the prophet about ministering, emergency preparedness, and at-home Church, you have no need to fear, you passed the test.”

My procrastination was not getting the newsletter out on time.  I hope when it comes to our food storage you are I are doing great, because if not our procrastination could have a terrible effect not only on us personally but also on our families.
